After the Election: defending our vote
Indivisible Tallahassee is part of a nationwide network of local election defenders committed to protecting the vote, the count, and the certification of election results.
If officials attempt to obstruct free and fair elections, we must be ready to stand together in disciplined, nonviolent community action to defend our democracy.
We may need to call on you to respond quickly—with as little as 24–48 hours' notice. Please stay alert and watch for messages from Indivisible Tallahassee. We need to be ready to act together!

This national call will provide real-time updates, help us align on election-defense strategies, and outline clear next steps for defending democracy.

NONVIOLENCE IS OUR COMMITMENT
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to act lawfully, seek to de-escalate potential confrontations with those who disagree with our values, and help maintain a peaceful environment. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should never be brought to our events. All events should take place in public spaces or on public property. .

no kings 4 Tallahassee: our voice, our vote
Thank you for engaging in our action on Oct 17!
This time, No Kings was all about the power we have in our own hands: our vote.
OUR VOICE, OUR VOTE was a celebration of voting—and a chance to get ready to use that power. We’ll encourage and empower our neighbors to vote early, while sharing practical information about where and how to vote, how to make a voting plan, and what to do if challenges arise. And we’re going to have some fun doing it!
Our event was a festive, uplifting, high-energy gathering featuring local musicians, singers, spoken-word artists, and other performers. Their voices and creativity helped bring us together, build local energy, and celebrate our country’s long—and still unfolding—journey toward the promise of voting rights for all.
Now is the time to get out the vote and remind everyone that Early Voting in Leon County runs Oct 19 - Nov 1. And that this is the safest way to vote in person, and the way the Trump regime can tamper with the least. The other best way to vote is to drive a completed mail ballot to the election supervisor's office or to an official drop box at any Early Voting location during voting hours. Check in with www.leonvotes.gov for Early Voting locations and hours of operation.

Safety Marshal Trainings
Training date and location given when you sign up.
Safety marshals are the backbone of a successful nonviolent demonstration. Using nonviolent de-escalation techniques, they help keep our actions safe, focused, and effective as we stand up for peace and justice.

We gathered at Amicus Brewing for a party and livestreamed watch party. Members of Mickee Faust joined us and performed their version of "I Will Survive." Party food, libations and a flag cake were enjoyed as we took the chance to relax with each other and watch the national 'Rise Up, Sing Out' concert hosted by the Committee for the First Amendment.
